"Conan and the Jewels of Gwahlur (Conan (Dark Horse Unnumbered))"

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Dialogue is unbelievable, more like what Keanu Reeves would say as Conan, Not Arnold. Art was great. Extras in back worth a perusal. Plot is iffy, with action sequences and trickery scenes are very good. The political intrigue was more Tom Clancy, not Biblical proportions.

NOT at all worth consuming!

 

"Hellboy, Vol. 1: Seed of Destruction" —2007

Art was amazing, and the use of blood red in contrast was inspired. However, the story needs much work and I just could not enjoy it. Clear evidence of John Byrne’s reputation of taking someone else’s work and twisting it into what he thinks is a hit and riding the coattails to the bank. But as usual, it just doesn’t work.
