In issue 2, we learn about the
secret origins of the first and second Blue Beetles. Originally a character
owned by Charlton Comics, right before the Crisis, DC Comics purchased the
rights to the Beetle and several other super heroes from the competitor. This
issue was released as a preview for the Blue Beetle regular series DC was
getting ready to release in late 1986. It’s a fun ride, with a few chops in it,
but still worth consuming.
