This
is perhaps my least favorite issue and probably story thus far in the Legends
of the DC Universe series. You'd think this would be a home run what
starring the Justice League and all. Some virus or magic has turned many
of the Leaguers into giant raving lunatics. With their enormous size, time is
running out as their mass is sure to through them into seizures and likely
cardiac arrest. It's up to the Atom to get to the literal heart of the matter.
The art is good. The dialogue's okay but the plot itself is really everywhere.
The civilians hassled by this huge inconvenience have turned on the JLA so much
that I thought for a while I was reading an X-Men title. It just seemed out of
sorts for a DC book from 1999. Then we've got this mutant whose gone insane as
well but he's normal size. What does he have to do with any of this? It's
really convoluted and I'm just not a fan of this one.
