"Superman: For Tomorrow, Vol. 2"

NOT WORTH CONSUMING
Remember how much “What Dreams May Come” sucked?

Remember how cheated you felt about the ending of “Sphere” when everyone just dreamed that it didn’t happened and all was made right with the world.

Remember when they made great Superman stories?

Well, you would think with these questions being posed that Jim Lee and Co. would take a fairly awesome first volume and go to the Nth degree with the conclusion. Sadly, like “Return of the Jedi” this volume starts with a way cool beginning involving the ‘hate/like" relationship of Batman and Superman and a devastating battle with Wonder Woman and then enter the “Ewok”-like safety world created by Superman and -UGGHHHH!I just can’t think any more about it. Were it not for Zod, this story would not get even 1 star. Now, despite my disgust with this book, I do want to read Lee’s take on Batman’s Hush. Gritty is more suited for the Dark Knight anyway. Not Superman, he should only take matters like this into his own hands only if it involves a “Evil” Superman and an Elseworld story. Please, stay away from Krypton guys. Every time Superman does, it’s gets all Alice In Wonderland (which is a great book, just not Superman material) and Superman turns into a cross between Mother Teresa and Gandhi and Stuart Smiley- and it makes you wanna hurl because of all the syrup. Not worth consuming!
