WORTH CONSUMING!
Another great collection of Superman
stories- not awesome, but great. The first appearance of Mr. Mxyzptlk, Luthor
and Brainiac’s team-up, Luthor rejecting the idea that Clark Kent could be
Superman, all great tales. Sadly, Superman’s return to Krypton which has been
reprinted in other Superman anthologies no less than 3 previous times, and
Superman’s resistance to Kryptonite (which appears in Superman in The 70’s),
prevents 2 hardly ever stories from being published in this book. I would have
like to seen Superman’s bout vs. Ali, the Greatest or one of Superman’s
Showcase teaming with another superhero. That would have made this great. Still,
worth consuming- although you might feel cheated having to read some stories
over again if you’ve read other anthologies.
