The Goon, Volume 7: A Place of Heartache and Grief

The Zombie Priest has added a new player to the war on Goon’s city. Labrazio, the former mob boss to which Goon was his right hand man, has been raised from the dead and he looks to regain his lost territory. Aiding the Zombie Priest and Labrazio are the Harpies, Mr. Wicker, and a swelling legend of undead baby hybrids. It’s up to Goon, Franky, and a host of other odd balls to fight back.

This is the first of a trilogy that will end in volume 10. This trilogy promises to ruin the Goon’s life forever as the fate of his city’s soul hangs in the balance. While gritty as ever, the humor is still there. You just really have to look for it. Thankfully, Franky and the kids of the city orphanage are excellent sources of comic relief. The art is incredible as ever.

Worth Consuming.

Rating: 9 out of 10 stars.
