Thor’s of past, present, and future team up to finally take
the God Butcher down once and for all. But before they can do that, will they
be too late as the killer of god’s is about to complete the ultimate weapon-
the god bomb.
This thing acts like the TARDIS- not only does it kill all
gods existing in the present, but it has the ability to destroy any god that
every existed (prior to before it became known) as well as wiping out any
potential god to exist in the future. So, I guess if Kanye West gets his wish
and becomes the next Jesus, this god bomb would’ve kept him from ever being
born. The mind wonders about such things.
There were some neat surprises in this volume and I like the
ending, especially how it tied up a loose end from early in volume 1. But,
compared to that issue, this one is flawed. I felt like this story could’ve
been tied up at about the half-way point. However, for some reason, the writer
decided to throw it a few monkey wrenches that dragged the plot out to an
unneeded length.
The art was still very good and despite my misgivings about
how long the God Butcher storyline stretched out, I am very much looking
forward to volume 3.
Worth Consuming.
Rating 8 out 10 stars.
