GI Joe #33

This issue has several injured Joes licking their wounds, some important brass offering some promotions that should shake up things in the Pit, and a man comes back from the dead. Plus somebody’s gunning to take out Cobra Commander once and for allWow, one of the most action packed and interesting issues of GI Joe yet. Now, this is what I’ve been talking about. No plot or art continuity errors here at all! After some minor setbacks in the past couple of issues, it appears that GI Joe is back to its level of high octane storytelling and fantastic art that got me hooked on this series in the first place.

What makes this book that even more special is how the writer, Larry Hama and the artists were able to get me interested in a minor character called “Bongo, the Balloon Bear”, a costumed party performer who offers their assistance and vehicle when a Cobra bad guy fire bombs some Joes’ jeep! That’s great storytelling!

Worth Consuming.

Rating 9 out of 10 stars.
