We’ve got 6 short stories in this Winter
Special from 1990. They range from bad (The WWII British super heroine
Spirtfire and her octogenarian battle with a demon) to the excellent (Daredevil’s
attempt to save Kingpin from an assassin has unexpected ramifications.)
This was a fun read
that kept me quite entertained. I enjoyed the Spider-man and Nick Fury tale,
but I was very pleasantly surprised by the stories that involved B-listers such
as Black Knight, Speedball, and Wonder Man. Really the Spitfire tale is the
only one not worth reading.
So give this
book a shot. It’s pretty easy to find in bargain bins. I’ve run across it
several times.
