Well, in this
issue, a tribunal has decided that nobody gets a pass for trying to murder
Cobra Commander, spawn or otherwise and thus Billy must be put to death.
However, it is that very act that triggers some sort of moral conflict and now
Storm Shadow must save the boy before the executioner’s axe falls.
This issue is
almost 100% Cobra and I don’t mind a bit. I’ve always thought that the villains
were more interesting that the good guys. Plus it helps that several pages shed
some light on Cobra Commander and his criminal organization’s origin. Plus, the
motivation behind this terrorist group is finally address ( I think I
complained about this at least twice in previous reviews) SPOILER- Cobra
Commander was motivated to bring down the American government because they shut
down his Ponzi scheme!
Really, that’s
the best Hasbro, Marvel, and Larry Hama could come up with? For once, I think
the movie’s go it right by having Cobra Commander injured and left to die
during an Army mission and wanting revenge for his scarring and abandonment
issues.
It’s a good
issue with amazing art and action sequences. But, the plot just doesn’t add up
to a perfect score.
Worth Consuming.
Rating 8 out of
10 stars.
